Im an investor in Sipher, and I heard about the layoffs. Im tring to get the real story to figure out my next steps. Could you share bit about what happened? When did the lay offs go down, how many people got let go, and what was the reason? ALso do you think i should get out since seed investors vesting started?

To sum up: - The game develop based on CEO's idea, and not for users. - CEO has 0 experience in making game. He is a real estate guy. That:s how you know the game is 'good'. - Layoffs started since 2022. I don't know the exact number but north of 50 pepple ever since, give or take. Remember the team is around 150-200 - Inside news (unconfirmed) that they gave up on the game. Right now resource is shift to the 2nd game. This Odyssey is on life support.
Reason for the layoffs: mainly because the CEO doesn't like people that have different ideas than him. He mentioned an open working environments but who dare to criticise the game got the axe.
And I'm sure most of the people who got laid off get threaten by the CEO that they won't find another jobs, and they did not get any compensation. Layoff happens unfairly and pretty sudden.
